As the Community Mentor, you will create and maintain cohesive and positive communicative relationships with in the community and link back with School. This role is a mixture of academic and pastoral support by guiding underachieving pupils to overcoming personal issues which affect educational achievement and well as community engagement.  

Bristol Futures Academy is a new Alternative Provision Free School based in Barton Hill, Bristol that opened in September 2016. It is part of the Inspirational Futures Trust, sponsored by Weston College.  BFA is an empowering alternative provision that provides a forward looking and student-centred approach to all aspects of learning.   

This role is 7.5 hours per week, working 39 weeks per annum on a term-time only basis.  

The Bristol Futures Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As the responsibilities of this post are defined as regulated activity, the person appointed is required to have an enhanced DBS check with barred list information.
