Job overview

Bellevue Place Education Trust has an exciting new position of a Finance Controller, reporting to our established Director of Finance across a group of nine successful schools. We are driven to develop and expand our trust of schools to 24 schools in and around London. We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership skills and who has had outstanding success in school improvement.

Our Trust has been established for ten years and has nine schools for primary aged children – all have been judged Good or Outstanding by Ofsted. Currently, we employ over 435 staff and educate 2900+ children.

Our vision is to run schools where academic excellence is just one aspect of an outstanding education, sitting alongside a rich extended curriculum, building emotional intelligence in pupils, through their learning experience.  The Finance Controller role is key to the delivery of our vision, whilst proactive collaboration and school improvement support is at its core.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, emerging leader as a Finance Controller, who will role model fulfilling the vision of BPET through their school and leadership style. They need to be a strategic leader, who will best support and drive the finance and budgeting approach of BPET across the various schools’ communities. The Finance Controller will inspire, motivate, and grow teams, centrally and across the schools, towards educational excellence. They will promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils and staff at all times and provide an appropriate combination of challenge, collaboration and support in order to raise standards.

We need an individual who will contribute to the strategic direction of the Trust; provide clear information, and recommendations to the Director of Finance regarding financial performance and the financial implications of operational decisions; monitor and evaluate progress against stated financial objectives and targets in the Trust’s plans, initiating and taking any additional action as agreed.

We want to provide the very best opportunities for every young person we educate to achieve their potential. If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience, and share our vision for education, then please submit a letter of application (no longer than 3 pages), outlining why you are the right candidate for the role in addition to completing BPET application form. Please send applications to Claire Prichard (c.prichard@panoramiccare.co.uk) by the deadline below and also contact Claire if you would welcome an informal conversation about the role.

Closing Date: Friday 20th January 2023

Interview Date - Friday 27th January 2023
