As we move into an exciting new phase at Academies Enterprise Trust (AET), we are seeking to appoint a Building Operations Assistant to join our hub of schools in the South London / Surrey region.

This role will be based at Wishmore Cross Academy - a residential special school for up to 70 boys aged 9 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The academy provide a highly effective and individual package of education, care and pastoral support to young people who may have only negative experiences of school. A safe, caring environment supported by high levels of staffing ensures that each pupil has the opportunity to make progress and achieve their full potential.  You will support them by ensuring that the school building and grounds are safe, secure and well-maintained.

If you want to be part of a network of academies that is passionately committed to inspiring children and young people, this role could be for you.

As an enthusiastic, proactive, customer-focused, organised individual, you will ensure that our academies function safely and effectively on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, be highly motivated, organised, full of initiative, and common sense, with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure, dealing with multiple tasks to meet time deadlines. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and relate well and build positive relationships with staff and key stakeholders.

AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.  In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.  You will also be entitled to the following benefits: Local Government pension scheme and a health cash plan.

This is a very exciting time for Academies Enterprise Trust and we hope you will join us on our journey.
