In this key role, you will enable the development of additional ESOL, Employability and develop new partnerships to promote the work of the directorate. You will be supported by the other Deputy Heads of Learning to run the day to day curriculum operations in the Directorate of ESOL, EFL, Employability and Foundation Learning. You will have a passion and excellent organisational skills to lead and support innovative curriculum development, growth and diversification of the programme, contribute to the overall development and success of the College and help to ensure that corporate and strategic aims are met. You will also have some teaching responsibilities within your section of the department. You will take responsibility for all aspects of workload and performance management of a group of staff within your section and promote a student driven culture of high performance and excellent teaching, learning and assessment. Reporting to the Director you will have responsibility for implementing and maintaining excellent working relationships with national businesses and industries for the benefit of students and growth of curriculum development. This role will provide many an opportunity to develop wider leadership skills and a potential pathway to more senior leadership roles within the college.
