Business Manager Remote Schools

This position provides direct support to the schools through the Katherine Finance Bureau providing support and services to a remote school. School located remotely have limited access to services and staff and bureau model provides a guaranteed service to remote schools and lowers the risk to the Department of schools not meeting statutory requirements. Each school contributes to cover the cost of this position. The position is responsible for the engagement and payment of school council employees and the recording of financial transactions, preparation of budgets, reviews and acquittals for expenditure. This is an integral role to the Department.
