We are looking for an excellent teacher to join our highly successful Social Sciences department. You will join us at a very exciting time as we have an impressive set of 2017 examination results to build on and a progress 8 score of 0.5 which puts the school in the top 12% nationally. This is a new build school with excellent facilities and a learning community that is cohesive and supportive.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher to develop their skills in a stimulating and supportive environment. It is expected that the successful candidate will be expected to teach a combination of A Level Business Studies and BTEC Business courses at KS4 and KS5. The ability to teach Humanities at KS3 would be an advantage.

Business Studies is being reinstated at KS4 in response to popular demand. The GCSE Business studies results in 2017 was 64.3% A*-B. At A-level 67% of pupils achieved A*-C. The department prides itself on its commitment to excellence and the value it adds to pupil’s achievement. Business is a popular subject at KS4 and KS5. Within the business department we also offer Level 3 BTEC Business and A Level Economics. At KS4 the department follows the AQA specification and would ideally be a looking for a candidate who has experience of this, however, this is not a necessity. At A –levels pupils again follow AQA.

The department has a strong tradition of students continuing to study business related courses at University and any new member of the team would be joining a very successful experienced and established department.
