Careers Advisor  

 £26,127 per annum  

36 Hours per Week  

This post is a key part of the College’s Information, Advice, and Guidance provision supporting students to access impartial careers advice and to enable them to achieve and progress.  You will work with students on a 1:1 basis providing high quality careers advice and guidance as well as delivering careers input to groups of students.   

You will be responsible for leading / supporting the delivery of college-wide careers events and activities and for delivering group work to a wide range of students across a breadth of learning programmes and levels.  

You will need to have an excellent understanding of UCAS and be able to support and advise students of their options through the application process.  Working closely with the Course Information Team you will support students applying to the College to choose the best learning programme for them.  

You will also be required to work closely with the National Careers Service as well as provide support to students looking to progress into employment and apprenticeships.   The College of North West London is committed to providing a high quality of teaching and learning.  We have a vibrant cohort of 16 to 18 year old students studying on a range of vocational programmes.  The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young people as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.  

You must have good IT and numeracy skills, be prepared to work flexibly, have the ability to work on your own initiative and with the minimum of direct supervision.  Most importantly you must be able to inspire and motivate young people.  

This position offers up to 30 days paid annual leave per year plus public holidays and Occupational salary pension plan.   Interested in finding out more?
