Caretaker

Situated in the heart of Bedford, Polam School is among the leading independent schools in the area providing an outstanding all-round education to children from 12 months to 7 years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Caretaker to ensure the delivery and maintenance of a safe and secure environment for all pupils, staff, visitors, contractors to the school site, which includes a swimming pool. You will be the initial point of contact for buildings, grounds, and maintenance and security. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to manage ever changing priorities. This role reports to the school’s Business Manager and will liaise closely with the school’s Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of health and safety and associated compliance regulations, as well as practical skills in building maintenance. 

This role is for 35 hours per week or 20 hours negotiable.
