Job overview

We are seeking to appoint two caretakers – one full-time and one part-time – to join our highly effective site team.

We are looking for an experienced caretaker to fill the full-time position and a junior caretaker to fill the part-time role.

These positions will be based at our Senior School and line managed by the Senior School Premises Manager.

Both roles will include physical tasks such as lifting and transporting furniture, consumables and equipment around the site, general maintenance and repairs and a variety of other tasks. The willingness to be a first aider is a requirement of the role (training would be provided).

Our site team is made up of 4 full-time, all-year-round staff, one of whom is based at the Junior School site. In addition, we have a Security Guard who covers the evening shift and locking up. The hours of the Senior School site team cover the working day from opening up at 6:45am until 5:30pm.

It is expected that the working hours for the full-time role will be 9:30am until 5:30pm with flexibility for overtime and weekend hours. This is a full time role, working 36 hours per week. We offer 30 days’ annual leave and the salary range is £26,000 - £29,500 per annum.

The part-time role is for 4 days per week and there will also be opportunities for overtime and weekend hours. The specific days and hours are subject to discussion with the successful candidate. We offer 30 days’ annual leave and the pro-rata salary is £18,500 - £20,000 per annum.
