Job overview

The Christus Trust are looking for an inspirational strategic leader who is able to develop and articulate the vision, values and ethos of the Trust to ensure a culture of excellence and high expectations where children and young people are given a clear vision for life, a vision which is rooted in the person and teachings of Jesus Christ and which is faithful to the mission of the Catholic Church. The ideal candidate will be someone who focuses on leadership development at all levels to improve outcomes, grow capacity and empower others. Currently we are a six primary school MAT. Initially, the role will be four days per week but this will increase to full time as the trust grows and takes on additional schools.

Already an experienced leader with a track record of success, you will bring a record of successful change management and partnership working. You will be able to demonstrate extensive staff development experience and expertise. Most importantly, you will have a passion for education and children’s learning, with the determination to make a positive difference and commitment to continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will know how to maintain and deliver systemic rigour across the breadth of a Multi-Academy Trust or similar large organisation, achieved through collaborative working and the nurturing of a high-performance culture through all key strategic stake holders.

Accountable to the Trust Board, you will be a practicing Catholic bringing a credible track record of continuous improvement in educational performance and outcomes.

This unique and exciting position will require you to lead a dedicated headship team to develop a passion for working collaboratively across all trust schools.

As the Catholic Schools’ Executive Leader (CSEL) you will be responsible for the performance of all the schools within the Trust, instilling the vision and ethos of the Trust throughout the organisation. The role will also act as the Accounting Officer.

We are seeking a collaborative engaging CSEL who will grow and develop along with the Trust and the Trust Board as we expand and shape our vision.
