Required for 24 April 2019 Chapel Organist & Head of Keyboard
We are looking to appoint a well qualified and experienced performer, and instrumental music teacher for this full-time post. A strong commitment to developing and encouraging music within a boarding school environment, and the ability to work well with others are essential. Experience of teaching piano, playing the Organ, accompanying/working with choirs and accompanying instrumental music exams is also essential. The successful candidate would be expected to play the Organ for all services, including Sunday services during the academic year; including Patronal services, Remembrance Sunday, Advent & Carol Services, Passiontide service, Pentecost service and Leavers’ Service. A genuine drive and enthusiasm for music education is paramount for this exciting and evolving role.
In addition there is a requirement to play an active role in boarding school life which includes tutoring, plus sports, clubs and other activities during the day, evenings and at weekends during term time. Compensating time off is then taken off during the School holidays for the longer days required during term time. Starting salary: DYRMS Scale 7.27 (£24,964 to £28,609 per annum) and DYRMS allowance of £5,368 per annum. Accommodation at a fair rent, may be available on site.
