The catering department at Bradfield College is seeking a professional and talented Chef de Partie, who can deliver a high level of food service, outstanding food safety processes and has a passion for quality seasonal food.

Our Chef De Parties are key roles within the team, working closely with the Executive Chef and Head Chef to deliver exceptional food on a daily basis. This is not school dinners. Typically serving in excess of 3000 meals per day, the CDP role is integral to the smooth operation of the kitchen and you will be part of a highly skilled team who have worked in some of the UK’s finest hotels and hospitality establishments.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • The daily operation and food production of the main dining hall, banqueting functions and cafe with a typical combined service of around 1800 covers a day (Breakfast 400, Lunch 800, Dinner 600). 
  • Suggesting menus, recipes, concepts and techniques to continuously produce consistently high standards .
  • Leading your section’s service and working well with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to deliver, healthy and interesting food.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced chef with ambition, good leadership skills, innovation and creativity, with the skills and experience to successfully tackle the range of challenges and service style requirements that are inherent within this unique environment.  

You will have formal Chef qualifications, City & Guilds Diplomas in professional cookery or BTEC in professional cookery and will have extensive experience gained through your professional career from a broad spectrum of catering establishments, 5* hotels, restaurants, contract catering and event companies.
