Pembrokeshire College is seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to continue its journey to excellence and expand its educational and training services.
Pembrokeshire College is a college of further education, situated in a beautiful location in the south west peninsula of Wales. With a cohort of over 13,000 learners, it serves not only its local community, but communities along the wider M4 corridor throughout south Wales. With the highest success rates of all general further education colleges in Wales in 2017, the College has been classified as having ‘excellent’ prospects by the Welsh educational inspectorate Estyn. Financially sound, with a turnover of £30 million and with the second largest apprenticeship contract in Wales, Pembrokeshire College is diversifying its income base within the sphere of its core business.
Reporting to the Corporation Board, the successful candidate will continue to raise quality of learner outcomes, ensure that its curriculum meets the economic aspirations of Wales and possess sufficient commercial acumen to grow its training provision. Leading and motivating a team of 500 staff, the candidate will possess strong people management skills. With a strong track record of organisational change and excellent communication skills, the candidate will establish good relationships with partners including the Welsh Government, local authorities, employers and the local community.
