Job Title: Class Teacher - Art and Performing Arts
Location: Manor House School, Slinfold, Horsham
Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 per annum (Salaries reflective of London Fringe) plus Welcome Bonus of £2000 (£1000 paid at start and £1000 paid after passing final probation)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Class Teacher to join our close-knit team at Manor House School in Horsham.
About the role
As a dynamic and motivated Teacher, you already have a passion for making a difference in the lives of pupils and young people. In this role, you will have every opportunity to live up to this ambition, responding to the needs of each individual as you help them flourish and thrive.
- To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all students in consultation with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher – Curriculum Lead.
- To teach Art and Performing Arts to groups of students from all abilities across ages 5 - 18 according to their educational needs and levels of ability, to include GCSE provision and other appropriate qualifications.
- In consultation with the Headteacher/SMT undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning and progress towards meeting agreed targets across the school relentlessly focusing on the improving of teaching and learning.
- To secure, in collaboration with the SMT, high standards of teaching and learning.
- Contribute to a lively and stimulating environment.
Essential:
- Use of a variety of teaching styles and approaches
- QTS (ECTs accepted)
- Organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding the welfare of all pupils
- Ability and enthusiasm to work jointly with colleagues
- An outstanding classroom teacher, or has the capacity to become on
