Aylesbury Vale Academy Primary Phase, formerly Berryfields Church of England Primary School, opened as part of the Aylesbury Vale Academy in September 2013. We have children from preschool to Year 6 and are oversubscribed. We are highly inspirational for our pupils and our distinctive story telling curriculum, and focus on creativity, enables our pupils to make very good progress.

We are sponsored by the Oxford Diocese and have community facilities and a children's centre on site. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children is essential and we expect all our staff to share our desire to serve the people from the Berryfields area and to help build a community that enables our children and their families to be the very best they can be.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher who:-

  • Is a passionate classroom practitioner with an established track record of high expectations and aspiration for all children's achievement.
  • Is passionate about learning and able to work as part of a team to deliver a high-quality curriculum.
  • Has previous experience of working with a diverse range of learning needs including excellent provision for children with additional needs.
  • Has a good working knowledge of formative assessment practice and other assessment strategies.
  • Has excellent expertise in creating a stimulating and appropriate environment that motivates learners.
