Our Challenge

Shortstown Primary School is an expanding School and moved to a new building in September 2013. We now have an opportunity for a dynamic, committed KS2 Class Teacher, to start September 2018. We are an all-inclusive school and believe every child has a right to a good education.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiast practitioner, who is able to teach throughout the Primary years. We operate a creative curriculum with a commitment to raising standards for all pupils. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a team, have effective organisational skills and a willingness to contribute to school life.

Shortstown Primary School

Shortstown Primary opened in 2013 and boosts fantastic new, state-of-the-art facilities. Through the benefits of it’s excellent Pre-school provision it is able to take children from the age of 2 through to 11years.

Shortstown Primary is an inclusive school which has a positive impact on children’s learning and achievement through high expectations in a creative and motivating environment. The school believes that that every child truly does matter and as a result has an unrelenting focus on raising standards in all aspects of school life so that each student can develop their talents and be the best they can be.

Shortstown was rated as a Good school following an Ofsted visit in 2013; its Pre-school received an Outstanding grading. As a Lead Literacy School, Peter Pan Teaching School partner and an Excellence Partner with Bedford University and Bedford College, the school supports a number of individuals through their training programmes.
