Class Teacher September 2018
We are looking for a highly effective class teacher to complete our teaching team from September and are happy to consider applications from Newly Qualified Teachers as well as from experienced teachers.
The successful candidate will be proactive, innovative and committed to securing high standards for all children. This post will be based KS1 and benefits from having a team of at least three other teaching colleagues in each year group, all of whom have Planning, Preparation and Assessment time together. Every class throughout our school has an experienced teaching assistant, who works closely with the teacher to support learning and progress.

Elmwood Infant School is a large four form entry school with a 52 place nursery. We are located a short walk away from the centre of Croydon and serve a very diverse community with the majority of our pupils speaking English as an Additional Language. We have recently achieved the Gold UNICEF Rights Respecting Award and place children’s rights as the centre of everything we do. Elmwood Infant School has excellent transport links, with bus and tram lines just a few minutes’ walk away. We are walking distance from East and West Croydon train stations, making it easy to access central London and other surrounding areas.
