Job overview

Cotswold Chine, part of Novalis Trust, is a small independent residential and day special school for young people aged 7-19 years. The school is trauma informed, attachment focussed and relationship based supporting young people who in some cases have experienced childhood trauma and adversity and who as a result have complex needs. The post is suitable for teachers qualified in primary or secondary and applications from all subject specialisms are welcome. An NQT or a teacher within their first years of teaching is welcome to apply. Experience in special needs is not essential as training is provided. The ability to form relationships with young people and a flexible approach to working with others are important. The successful candidate will teach and nurture a small class group of 4-8 students and will initially be supported by a more experienced teacher. This is an opportunity to join the school at a time of growth and development in professional understanding of trauma and attachment disorders.

Starting Salary £23,569(QTS) pa, or £21,490(NQT)pa.  Teachers with relevant experience will be placed at the appropriate level of the pay scale. For an Application form and job description please apply in writing to: HR Department, Novalis Trust, Ebley House, 235 Westward Road, Ebley, Stroud, Glos GL5 4SX United Kingdom.
