Kings Heath Primary Academy is now recruiting for a Key stage 2 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover). This role could be the ideal next step towards Middle/Senior Leadership.

About the role

  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the academy’s policies under the direction of the Headteacher.
  • Be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well.
  • Use a range of appropriate strategies and follow Academy policies for teaching/tutoring, behaviour management and classroom management

Full time - Maternity cover, Fixed Term 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Evidence of sustained participation in INSET/CPD
  • Experience of teaching in KS2.
  • Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching.
  • Experience of managing teaching resources
  • Awareness of current developments in Education and the implications of these.
  • Understanding of effective assessment and target setting procedures.
  • Play an important part in the wider safeguarding of children – identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action to safeguard and protect them
