Brentwood School is an outstanding special school which specialises in the education of pupils with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and Autism. Last year the school relocated to new, state of the art purpose built facilities which include a Post 19 College. Main Purpose of Post is to teach pupils and students who have severe, profound or complex learning difficulties and Autism. You will be a member of a department team and will teach within your department and in other departments as required. To promote a happy, safe and nurturing learning environment for all our students.
You will be required to: To assess the needs of students and plan individual learning targets to their needs, to assess the effectiveness of the individual targets you have set, to teach groups of students and subjects as required, to lead and co-ordinate the work of the staff in your class, to make use of the resources within the community by organising education visits to support areas of the curriculum, to attend, as required, appropriate meetings about students you teach and to use ICT to support teaching and learning in all areas.
