Westbridge Primary School is a mixed, non-selective primary academy with nursery for children aged 2-11, situated in Battersea, south-west London. It is part of a multi-academy trust called the Chapel Street Community Schools Trust, which supports seven schools with a Christian community focus. Westbridge provides places for 200 pupils.

Westbridge Primary School opened in September 2000, before reopening in April 2014 as an academy.

The Westbridge Primary School vision is to transform pupils’ lives and help them reach their full potential. Creating the whole person is also a particular focus. Teachers aim to develop the social and personal life skills of each student, as well as encouraging them to succeed academically. 

Westbridge prides itself on being a diverse community, with more than 14 nationalities and 18 languages providing a rich cultural heritage for the school. It  follows the Chapel Street values of grace, love and fellowship, in order to create inclusive communities for children to study in. Chapel Street was founded on the belief that places of education can benefit not just students but also their families and communities.

“The school takes effective action to respond to behaviour incidents including bullying and prejudiced-based incidents. As a result, pupils feel safe and enjoy school. School leaders have effectively increased the rate of progress made by pupils in reading, and are improving rates of progress in mathematics and writing.”
