Class Teaching Assistant

Salary: £10.50 - £11.50 per hour depending on experience  

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Hours: 30 Hours per week

GSS are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Class Teaching Assistant to support any of Class 1, 2 and 3 teachers with confidence, flair and creativity on a fixed term contract for the 2021-22 academic year.

The school currently has pupils aged 3-16 and has very recently been appointed as an accredited provider of the Certificate of Steiner Education for the Upper School.

Key responsibilities for this role:

• Assist one of the Class 1, 2 and 3 teachers with the delivery of the school's Steiner Curriculum;
• Work with pupils on a group or 1 to 1 basis as required by the class teacher – some of the pupils that will be supporting may have SEND;
• Write up notes and observations as required by the class teacher;
• Ensure good supervision and discipline;
• Perform general duties such outdoor and breaktime supervision;
• Contribute to other areas by negotiation;
• Contribute to the ethos of this Steiner school.
