Bloxham Church of England Primary School is a great school to work at. The school is situated about 10 minutes outside of Banbury, on the outskirts of the Bloxham Countryside. We are a two-form entry school, with spacious grounds, good facilities including a dedicated music studio and library and the most amazing and supportive staff team. As a school community, we all have a common goal to ensure our school is the very best it can be, that our children are happy, love school, thrive and leave our school as well-rounded individuals ready to face the challenges ahead.  

Bloxham Primary is committed to offering a variety of extra-curricular activities including residential visits and clubs led by staff both during and beyond the school day. We believe that in providing such experiences we get to know our pupils better, develop the child as a whole and enable them to develop strong positive relationships with us and their peers, by fostering confidence and self-belief, as well as extending horizons and understanding of others.

We are seeking to appoint a class teacher who will enhance our staff team, support our school values and who will enable us to provide the best possible education for our pupils. At Bloxham Primary we expect our staff to be able to work successfully across all age groups.

The right candidate will have:

  • Proven ability to support learning and raise standards
  • Excellent behaviour management strategies
  • The ability to plan and teach exciting sequences of lessons based upon our school curriculum
  • Demonstrable ability to use adaptive teaching to engage, support and stretch learners stretch.
  • A positive outlook, resilient nature and ability to adapt
  • A commitment to developing their own, and others, teaching practice within a supportive team where each member is valued and respected.
  • Willingness t lead a subject area
  • A commitment to support the wider opportunities of the school.
