Job overview

Classroom Teacher (Full Time)

Required for: September 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Teacher to join our vibrant prep school community. In this rewarding role, you'll play a pivotal part in nurturing the intellectual and social development of our students (ages 4-11).

Set in beautiful woodlands in the village of Sunninghill, near Ascot, The Marist School is a leading independent Catholic day school for girls aged 2 to 18. The Marist employs over 120 members of staff and we are proud to be a diverse community that fosters a family spirit across the school.

You'll be a great addition to our team if you bring a relevant teaching qualification and experience shaping young minds in a prep school environment. We're looking for someone with strong subject knowledge who can craft engaging lesson plans, expertly manage a classroom, and nurture a positive learning space. A dedication to each child's well-being, both academically and emotionally, is a must.

At The Marist we offer the opportunity to flourish within a supportive and collaborative team, where colleagues are always willing to help. Additionally, we're committed to your professional growth by providing opportunities to further enhance your teaching skills. Most importantly, this role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young children, shaping their love of learning and their path for the future.

If you are a passionate educator who thrives in a dynamic and nurturing environment, we would like to hear from you. Application information is available from the school website: Career Opportunities - The Marist School - Private Girls School In Ascot, Berkshire or contact Will May, Head of Prep, for an informal discussion about the role: wmay@themarist.com

Completed application forms should be submitted by 9am on Wednesday 22nd May 2024.

The Marist School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). All posts at The Marist are subject to satisfactory statutory employment checks and referencing.
