St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Bundaberg P-6) offers a balanced curriculum in a child centred, friendly environment. The school is located in an urban setting on a large parcel of land with well-maintained and well-resourced grounds. The school has a strong Music Program which includes lessons and training for the school concert bands. Part of the Music program also includes 2 choirs, a Junior and a Senior Choir. The students enjoy many opportunities to be involved in sporting activities eg surf life saving and interschool sport, competitions eg Opti Minds and Chess and eisteddfods. The school has a very good reputation in the local community as a school that provides a family centered atmosphere and a curriculum that caters for student needs


About the role
Applications are invited for the position of full-time contract classroom teacher (Year 2) at St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Bundaberg commencing 15 August 2022 until 15 January 2023.


The successful applicant will demonstrate a deep commitment to providing quality Catholic education and learning based on a personal faith as well as be a highly trained and qualified professional with significant experience in the provision of high-quality educational programs.  You will have well developed organisational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team, as well as the ability to work independently.

Qualified educators who are committed to the ideals of Catholic Education and possess the following are encouraged to apply:-



  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (4 Year University Qualified Teacher).

  • Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education.

  • Current Queensland College of Teacher Registration is a mandatory requirement of this role.
