Job overview

 Wilton CE Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced administrator to fulfil the role of Clerk to the Local Governing Board. The Clerk will coordinate and administrate the full governor and committees meetings. The Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the LGB along with providing advice on procedural issues and is required to prepare for and attend all meetings and minute them accurately.

Meetings 

There are usually: 

· 4 meetings per year for LGB, 

· 4 Meetings for Ethos Committee

· 4 Meetings for Standards Committee

· Plus additional meetings in year including staffing panels and Hub Meetings as required. 

You will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be an effective verbal and written communicator. Previous experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be given from the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust. 

You will be paid for 5 hours per week for 39 weeks, plus holiday. This will allow time to liaise with the Headteacher and Chairs of committee, type and distribute agendas and minutes, send weekly and monthly email updates to all governors and maintain accurate records. There will also be occasional extra meetings which will fall under these hours.
