Sir George Monoux is situated in the North East London Borough of Waltham Forest on a single site in Walthamstow. Around 1,700 students attend the College all of whom are aged 16-19 and are on full time courses. We serve a wide catchment area, however 50% of our students live in the neighbouring boroughs of Newham, Haringey, Hackney, Enfield and Tower Hamlets.

We are seeking to appoint an Integrative Counsellor to facilitate and provide a therapeutic space for our students.
You will have a history of working with adolescents and adults within a support framework and must hold a recognised counselling qualification to diploma/degree level. Experience of working with young people who have emotional or mental health issues, preferably in an educational setting is desirable.
You will also have a clear understanding of the role of the counselling services in an educational institution, membership of BACP and experience of working within the BACP ethical framework.
You will have a flexible approach to the working environment and be able to work well under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
Hours of work will be 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday, term time only
