Communicator (part time, term time only, hourly paid)
This post will only be available if the student accepts a place at the College in August 2018. Accordingly, this is a fixed term post supporting a specific student for the duration of their time at the College. This post will end when the student leaves the College.
Hours will be worked based on student timetable and occasional out of hours support such as parents’ evenings/trips, a degree of flexibility is required. We envisage the post, if required, will be for up to 25 hours per week, term time.
You will support communication using British Sign Language and notetaking in the classroom and in support sessions including:
- Communicating using BSL in a classroom situation
- Providing 1:1 additional communication support
We are looking for a candidate who ideally:
- Has CACDP/Signature Stage II Sign Language or BTEC CSW under training as a minimum
- Has an understanding of education for the post-16 age group
£26.61 per hour (including holiday and bank holiday pay)
