HSDC is seeking to appoint a Community Engagement Technician to enable our Community Engagement programme. Applicants should ideally have experience of working in a similar role within an educational setting.

Essential skills required are relevant subject experience and qualification (Level 2 Gym Instructor), customer service skills, Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel, time management skills, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all ages, verbally and in writing, ability to work alone and as part of a team, ability to solve problems and make decisions. 

The successful applicant will ideally have prior knowledge and experience of supervising a Fitness Gym, know how to check Fitness Equipment and maintain a safe environment.

Applicants must demonstrate good knowledge of health and safety.

The hours of work are governed by the Community Engagement programme and are:

Mon 16:30 – 21:30

Tue 14:00 – 21:30

Thu 16:30 – 21:30

Fri   14:00 – 21:30

One in four Saturdays 08:30 – 17:00
