Job overview

We are seeking a Community Outreach Worker to  work as a member of the Adult Skills and Community team to promote and recruit to adult provision including Functional Skills / an unemployed offer (Work Ready) / Community Learning / ESOL by identifying new and developing existing relationships in Birmingham and Solihull and wider. 

Working with external stakeholders, including Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Job Centre Plus, schools, the voluntary sector and employers the post holder will be required to develop new links and sustain current partnerships. Primarily to increase student numbers and generate income by successfully engaging with large partner organisations and small community groups.

The ideal candidate will possess experience of successful networking and relationship building and be able and willing to respond to the needs of both external and internal clients. Excellent communication skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude are essential.
