Computer Science Teacher sought by high achieving new school in Shanxi Province to teach IGCSE Computer Science to Talented gifted Children.
Hedong International School’s foundation has been inspired by the success of Tianjin Yinghua Cambridge International School (TYCIS) based in Wuqing district of Tainjin. This school is part of the larger Yinghua International school which was established over 15 years ago. The academy is due to open it's doors in August '18 with around 40-50 students attending the schools' first academic year. Within 3 years time, they want to expand schools' population up to 3000 students in a modern environment whilst keeping the Chinese touch.
It's a great opportunity for people who want to experience the real Chinese culture as it is not a modern Western city like Shanghai, Beijing etc. Yuncheng is a 2.5h drive away from the famous Terracotta Warriors discovery.
In 2018 the school will offer CAIE IGCSEs to a small cohort of highly selected, excellent students. This is therefore a unique opportunity for teachers who wish to work with students post Year 10.
The attached information pack is for their sister school in Tianjin but will give you an idea of the ethos and curriculum. The other attachment; IGCSE Booklet; is for the actual academy.
You will need:
- a degree and teaching qualification
- at least 2 years' teaching experience
- preferable experience in teaching Talented gifted children
- to have experience in teaching IGCSE
- to have experience with the UK National curriculum
