New College Swindon, has recently been judged “Good” by OFSTED and has a number of exciting vacancies within the Computing and ICT department which offers career development opportunities. We are national leaders (FE Week) for 16-18 positive progression and seek dedicated and inspirational staff to support our journey to “Outstanding”.

We have a range of lecturing opportunities within the department covering full time and part time permanent contracts as we approach an exciting period of development. We offer an innovative and diverse curriculum from Entry Level to Level 5 (including a range of Level 3 apprenticeships) and are recognised as a Digital School House, and a Risual Microsoft Academy and we expect to a deliver the Foundation Degree in Cyber Security from September 2018.

Successful candidates will benefit from working with state of the art technologies and resources, including Microsoft Hololens. Our learners value and are excited about working in this attractive environment and our HE learners are provided with HP learning devices to support their studies. We embrace industry experts to support programmes from a number of national organisations.

You should hold a degree or equivalent in the subject area along with a full Level 5 teaching qualification (or be on a teaching programme). We will also consider applications from individuals who can demonstrate significant industry experience together with a teaching qualification. Level 2 English and Maths are also required, although we will support you to gain these if your application is successful. You should be able to demonstrate through application and interview, an in-depth level of knowledge and understanding in the specialist subject area of Information Technology, relevant contemporary software applications and related practice and be able to contextualise this within the employability agenda. Applicants with a passion or experience in Games Development are also welcome.
