What SATRO does:
We run a fleet of six vans packed with all the tools, equipment and materials needed to teach young people valuable skills in carpentry/joining, plumbing, electrical, brickwork, painting and decorating. Our tutors are highly skilled and have years of experience in the building industry and are passionate about what they do. We visit schools on a weekly basis across Surrey and the South East England.
Who are we?
We work with mainstream secondary schools, PRU and youth organisations to teach construction and building services skills to over 350 students annually who have been identified by their school as being at risk of becoming NEET. As an accredited BTEC provider our tutors teach the students up to Level 1 BTEC and we can also teach the practical elements for BTEC Level 2. We also work in Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools where we teach students work related skills and in addition we also run courses for adults with learning difficulties.
