30 - 35 hours per week, term-time only (including 5 training days) - exact hours will be discussed at interview.

£13,875 - £14,801 per annum pro rata based on 35 hours per week term time only. The actual salary will be dependent on the number of hours agreed by the selection panel. The salary scale is Level 3A, Point 15-18.


The successful candidate will be required to cover the absence of a teacher by supervising students who are carrying out work set by the teacher in advance.

You will set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment. In periods where cover is not required the ideal candidate must be flexible enough to undertake other tasks such as exam invigilation, break duties, form responsibilities, administration and general support. 

Educated to at least level 2 you will have experience of working with young people ideally gained in an educational setting. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision.

Wootton Academy Trust  is a multi-academy trust made up of two academies:

Kimberley 16 - 19 STEM College - opened as a 16 - 19 Academy in 2013, specialising in Science and Mathematics. The College has over 650 students, over thirty different Level 3 courses and is the largest sixth form provider in Bedfordshire.
