Cover Supervisor 

32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 

Term Time only

We are looking to appoint Cover Supervisors to provide lesson and registration cover for class teachers in years 7 – 11. You must be confident, highly organised and have excellent interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be required to liaise between both students and class teachers. The post will suit someone with a natural ability to engage with young people. This role is a superb opportunity for anyone wishing to gain experience in a school environment, possibly as part of their career development.

We are a rural, mixed 11-18 comprehensive converter academy with nearly 1300 students including 250 in the Sixth Form. We are situated in Crowborough on the edge of the Ashdown Forest and in close proximity to Tunbridge Wells and the South Coast. 

As confirmed by the Department of Education’s provisional national league tables, Beacon Academy is number one school in the county under the headline Progress 8 measure, and in the top 2.82% of all schools nationwide. We have been judged good with outstanding features in 2 successive Ofsted observations, and are well on the way to achieving our goal of outstanding. We also take great pride in our designation as a National Teaching School and a National Support School.

The role is for 32.5 hours per week to be worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday, term time only. This role is paid on Single Status Grade 4, currently £16,120- £16,778 per annum full time equivalent.
