Salary: C1 £20,661-£22,658 pro rata.
Hours of work: 37 hours per week TTO+ 5 days
Actual salary: £17,592 -£19,293
The post is subject to the successful applicant completing a 6 month probationary period.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated, talented and energetic individual with the ability to support the learning of students within the fields of literacy and numeracy. Building excellent relationships with students, parents and teachers forms an essential part of this role.
Applicants for this post should have:
- Experience of working with students with additional needs;
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting students;
- A “C” grade or above in GSCE maths and English (or equivalent);
- Good IT skills;
- Ability to communicate well with students, teachers and adults;
- A good understanding of the issues relating to child development and inclusion;
- A commitment to safeguarding children.
The successful candidate will support students with weak numeracy or literacy skills across the school and lead on planning and delivering programs that enable students to make better than expected progress within these areas. They will play a pivotal role in developing new approaches to supporting young people both within and outside the classroom. Training will be provided and opportunities for further professional development will be made available.
