Start Date: January 2017

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 34.5 hours per week, 8:30 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 15:30 Friday term time only

Pay Scale: Grade 3, Spinal Column Point 14-18, £16,781-£18,070 per annum (pro-rata £13,179.71 - £14,192.09)

No on roll: 870 (including VI Form)

Ofsted rating: Good (September 2014)

Diocesan Inspection: Outstanding (March 2016)

Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy is an oversubscribed, successful 11-18 school, with a well-regarded reputation for quality education and pastoral support.  We are currently seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to support the work of our staff within the Academy.  The post will require you to supervise classes for absent teachers, using plans and resources provided, take on the role of a form tutor and support with break time duties within the school.   When cover is not required you may be asked to invigilate school exams or complete other administration tasks as appropriate.

Applicants must have a minimum of five GCSEs or equivalent which ideally includes English and Maths. Applicants must ideally have prior experience of working with young people, have strong communication and IT skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to support students both in a pastoral and academic capacity.
