Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Curriculum Coordinator, to join our wider leadership team, who has a passion for supporting  students who have experienced significant disruption to their education.

Silver Bridge School is an independent special school for pupils aged 6 – 19, situated near to the centre of Taunton, Somerset. Our creative, individualised approach to learning, is centred around well-being and skills for independence.  From the time our students arrive, we start thinking about where students will be moving to after they leave us to ensure they are well prepared to achieve their goals and succeed.

We understand the importance of building meaningful relationships with pupils and families to nurture growth and development of relational milestones such as, building trust and sharing enjoyment. Care and making connections are at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure that all staff feel cared for too.

The Curriculum Coordinator will work with the Senior Leadership Team to determine and quality assure the strategic development of all aspects of curriculum delivery, including the development and quality assurance of the initial assessment and baselining of potential students. They will also develop and quality assure individualised programmes of delivery for new students.

To meet the current needs of the school candidates must have proven experience in delivering high quality teaching, assessment and data analysis. Experience of leading core subjects is essential, a specialism in English would be preferable.
