Job overview
We wish to appoint an outstanding Curriculum Leader for Mathematics to join us at an exciting stage of development for our school. You would be joining a team of subject specialist who have a passion for Mathematics and developing the students to be the best that they can be. The post arises due to the promotion of the current post-holder to the Senior Leadership Team, we as a school are committed to the development of staff. This post would suit either a Key Stage leader / second in department looking to take the lead of their first department, or an experienced Head of Department looking to further develop their skills. We offer a comprehensive package of staff development and you would have the opportunity to join either the Developing Middle Leaders course or Aspiring to SLT course. Informal discussion in regards to the role is available with either the current Curriculum Leader or Head of School. Visits to the school would only be possible out of school hours due to the current restrictions and would need to be prearranged with the Head of School.

Welcome from our Principal
Sandy Secondary School continues to go from strength to strength; it has a fantastic staffing team and was rated as “GOOD” by Ofsted in December 2017 with outstanding features. It is a place all staff and students are pleased to attend and proud to be a member of the school community. The School continues to achieve some of the best GCSE results in the whole of Bedfordshire (and many of our surrounding counties), as well as at A level. The school has some stunning results from Years 9 and 10 as well, as we do have a policy of early entry where appropriate. We are one of the TOP 100 performing schools in the country and have been award a prize by the SSAT for the excellent progress our students make.
