We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and passionate specialist to lead our outstanding Mathematics department.  This is a tremendous opportunity to lead a high performing team of specialist teachers who consistently achieve outstanding outcomes for our students.

This post provides an exciting opportunity for an ambitious colleague with aspirations to Senior Leadership. 

We are extremely proud of the outcomes in Mathematics. This year 74% of our students achieved a grade 4 or above, 57% achieved a grade 5 or above and 26% achieved a grade 7 or above resulting in a progress score of +0.66.

Icknield High School is a highly successful multi-cultural 11-16 Academy, situated in pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of town.

About Icknield High School

Located in the city of Luton, Bedfordshire, Icknield High School is a secondary academy, with a specialist status in art. Although the school has no sixth form, it has around 1400 pupils aged 11-16 in a co-educational setting, making it considerably larger than the average school of its type. Icknield School has an extremely culturally diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in the school’s student intake. Although the vast majority of teaching take place in school, a small number of students do make use of local off-site provision for particular subjects or needs.
