Trinity Academy is the flagship school in Trinity Multi-Academy Trust. The academy has a relentless focus on improving and being the very best we can be for students in our care. Our record-breaking GCSE results are evidence of the high academic achievements of our students, and are viewed as the pinnacle of the school’s success. Our Progress 8 score place us consistently in the top 5% of all schools nationally (+0.67 in 2017 and +0.59 in 2018).

The MFL department is a vibrant and dedicated team which has a strong track-record of achievement at both GCSE and A Level (+0.88 GCSE and 100% A*-B at A-Level in 2018). We currently offer Spanish and French at all levels and work with local schools to develop Spanish subject knowledge and pedagogy through the government-funded TSST programme. In addition to delivering language provision to Y7-Y13 the department works with local primary schools to develop their Spanish skills and prepare students for languages at KS3. As the flagship school in the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, the department regularly works with MFL teams in other MAT schools to ensure continuing professional development, and delivers MFL specific teacher training through the Trinity Teaching School Alliance.
