We are delighted to offer an opportunity to lead our MFL Department. We are seeking to appoint an excellent and experienced teacher pursuing a new challenge within an exciting, innovative and supportive school. We are looking for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about their subject and can bring languages to life, support achievement and create a nurturing environment. You will need to evidence proven success within which everyone can reach their full potential – students and staff alike.

Join us in providing leadership to our MFL department, which acknowledges the importance in enabling students to gain the currency to progress post 16 – with a strong team ethos. MFL is within the wider Globality Faculty which encompasses all the humanities and social science subjects. We believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things as we further develop innovative teaching and learning strategies. You should be able to teach across the ability range for KS3 and KS4 Spanish and KS3 French. A real interest in developing teaching and learning is also important. We will ensure a role within our Languages team that offers you the opportunity to share excellent subject knowledge and the challenge to support all our groups of students to make outstanding progress. As appropriate to your level of experience and aspiration you will also have the opportunity to coach and mentor other staff, sharing your evidenced good practice with them.

Cockshut Hill is part of the Summit Learning Trust comprising three secondary and four primary schools. This post will offer the opportunity to work with colleagues from Ninestiles and Lyndon Schools to share practice and planning. The trusts commitment to excellence is recognised nationally and internationally and Ninestiles is a Teaching School which offers further opportunities for career development in working with other schools.
