Curriculum Leader of English

We are looking to recruit an outstanding Curriculum Leader of English who is committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning across all key stages. The role will appeal to an enthusiastic, committed and dynamic teacher who will lead a large and very successful core department from September 2019.

The core department currently consists of 11 English teachers, two full-time media specialists and learning support staff.

St Albans Girls’ School, age range 11 – 18 is an Outstanding school (Ofsted February 2013) with over 1250 students. We are a highly regarded, oversubscribed and friendly all-ability school. GCSE results place us in the top 100 secondary schools in the country and the top 5% nationally for student progress.

The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from Governors, Parents, Students and a dedicated and highly motivated team of staff.
