Job overview

Required for Sept 2021, we are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and innovative person to lead a dedicated team of Technology teachers. Food technology is a very popular and well-resourced subject within the school and we are looking to appoint an inspirational leader who has vision to build on the good foundations already laid.

Due to the current Curriculum Leader relocating abroad, the leadership position has become available for someone with a proven track record of teaching high quality lessons across the ability range for 11-16 year-old children. You will not only lead a great team of teachers, but also a hardworking and knowledgeable team of technicians. You will also be responsible for curriculum planning, delivering in house CPD, and managing a wide range of resources. Our aim, quite simply, is to make sure that every child, in every lesson, every day is achieving excellence.

Cove School is a great place to work, graded ‘good’ by Ofsted in all four categories, with friendly and supportive staff. The outcomes in the technology department are excellent and one of the best in Hampshire.

The school is committed to supporting all staff with high quality CPD both internally and in a wider Hampshire and National context, ensuring staff are at the forefront of innovative teaching and learning, as well as the latest curriculum developments.

If you are interested in becoming part of our team at Cove, building on our success and joining us on our exciting journey to become an outstanding school, we would love to hear from you.
