Job overview

Data and Exams Manager

Grace Academy Darlaston is a rapidly expanding 11-19 academy with over 800 students on roll. High quality teaching and learning contributes to our exam success at both Year 11 and Sixth Form. Our Ofsted report commends the good behaviour of students both in and out of lessons. We are continuing to work hard and aim high as we move towards an outstanding rating from Ofsted.

Due to relocation of the current postholder we are looking to appoint a Data and Examinations Manager to manage the Academy’s data management systems and be responsible for the organisation of all aspects of external and internal examinations.

Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required, together with the ability to work independently and accurately to tight deadlines. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

If you require an application pack please contact email gadrecruitment@graceacademy.org.uk or for any enquiries call Helen Allport on 0121 568 3300.

Please complete the application form and Equal Opportunities Form and send back to gadrecruitment@graceacademy.org.uk with a covering letter detailing your experience to date for this post.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 1st March 2018

Informal visits available on request.

Our Academy continues to move forward at pace, our Recent Ofsted report in April 2022 states ‘Excellence is one of the key values of the school. This value is the guiding principle of the curriculum. The school encourages pupils to achieve high academic aims and develop as well-rounded individuals.’ The outcome of the Inspection was that ‘Grace Academy Darlaston continues to be a good school’. All members of our school community – students, parents and staff should be proud of this achievement.

It is a privilege for us to be entrusted with the job of leading Grace Academy Darlaston and continuing this excellent work. It is our intention to see the Academy continue to flourish and to guide all students to achieve their full potential whilst embracing the core values that Tove Learning Trust’s Grace Academies uphold.

Values and vision

Grace Academy has a Christian ethos based upon its five shared values of grace, respect, integrity, potential and excellence. As part of its vision to develop citizens who make a difference, the school engages students and staff in the work of a dedicated Ethos Team. The Ethos Team includes a dedicated member of the leadership team, youth workers and an RSE programme coordinator. They work together with key staff to help students develop a sense of identity, make wise and well-informed choices, live with aspiration, and understand and apply the school’s values.

Through the secondary school’s Business and Enterprise Specialism, it draws on the expertise of more than 62 business professionals from 16 local companies, who offer students workshops and advice to help improve their employability.

Ofsted report

"Leaders have set high expectations for staff, and for students behaviour and progress.  As a result, academic standards are rising strongly."
