Salary: Grade 6/7 dependant on experience

                                    Hours: 37 per week 

Grade 6 £23,080 – £25,481 (SCP 14 - 19) per annum

Grade 7 £25,991 – £28,672 (SCP 20 – 24) per annum

Governors of The Marvell College seek to appoint a Data Manager to join our DEC team.  

The successful applicant will be highly numerate with experience in data analysis. The ability to confidently interrogate data and to report at an advanced level are essential. A keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn are also of great importance. The successful applicant will seek to develop their skills within a caring profession and see beyond statistics to people, especially to students and their learning needs.  

The successful candidate must be familiar with the workings of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level and should be able to navigate a relational database with confidence. Experience of SIMS is desirable, but not essential, and training will be provided by the existing academic team where appropriate. These technical skills will, however, be subservient to the real skills of making the complex appear simple and the ability to work with staff to raise academic standards across the school.

About The Marvell College

The Marvell College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, serving students from the age of 11-16. The secondary school, situated in Kingston upon Hull has approximately 1129 students on record.

The Marvell College was established in 1953. Formerly Barham High School for girls and Jervis High School for boys, the schools later combined as one co-educational establishment and was renamed Andrew Marvell School. The secondary school converted to academy status in 2016 and changed names to The Marvell College. £27 million has been invested into learning facilities across the academic departments, which include a fully equipped gym, music recording studio, a dance and drama studio and science and eco garden.
