The School is now recruiting an experienced Data Manager, ideally from the education sector.

You will be responsible for ensuring the comprehensive administration, development and analysis of data-related management information, along with managing, maintaining and developing an efficient and effective school Management Information System (MIS) (SIMs and related analysis tools).
 

You will have experience of leading the development of data systems and advising the leadership team about MIS strategy.
 

Duties will include analysing and presenting data to inform strategic planning and target setting and to support the formulation and review of the School Improvement Plan, whilst developing clear, concise, accurate and timely information and reports for internal and external purposes and ensuring accurate and timely statutory data returns.

To support the SLT / middle leaders through providing a full support service for examinations analysis, monitoring and tracking student performance data and options information. To prepare and disseminate data following evaluation to meet the needs of Governors, Senior Leadership Team, Middle Leadership, teachers, tutors, parents and students. A working knowledge of 4Matrix is desirable but not essential.
 

You will assist the Curriculum Deputy Head in identifying, tracking and monitoring students not making sufficient progress.

You will have a detailed understanding of DFE accountability measures for KS4 including Progress/Attainment 8 and KS5 Progress Scores as well as a good understanding of the DFE's "Analyse School Performance"

 You will lead the school’s strategy for data management and ensure that leaders are appropriately informed about strategic data issues which may require decisions.

You will ensure compliance with data protection legislation and safeguarding the integrity of data. You will work closely with the Data Protection Officer to ensure the school complies with GDPR, ensuring the FOI (Freedom of Information) and SAR’s (Subject Access Requests) are appropriately administered. You will maintain a high level data map. You will ensure that data protection and risk management is in place to protect data.

  

The role will also include creating and maintaining the school's timetable using Nova T, experience of this is essential. This will require curriculum discussions with information about timetabling opportunities and constraints.
 

We are looking for a creative and innovative Data Manager who has the initiative to understand and solve complex problems in relation to data and MIS.
