To start September 2022

Kingsway Park High School was established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February 2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years 7-11 and 190 staff) located in central Rochdale. We are very proud of the high-quality facilities, resources, and environment that we provide for both staff and students. We hold our school values of Kindness, Perseverance, Helpfulness, and Success at the core of everything we do and everything we expect from our students. Kingsway Park is looking for an experienced Deputy who can lead all aspects of our safeguarding, child protection, online safety and training provision. We have a team working in this area including DSL, Family Support Officer, and Admin assistant as well as a comprehensive pastoral team. Together they service a significantly diverse population with a wide range of challenges and needs.

You might be:

• A senior leader with experience in this area looking for a new challenge and a team to lead

• A teacher looking for a timetable commitment in your subject of around 20% with the rest of your time dedicated to this extraordinarily important work

• A member of support staff looking for a significant role in a non-teaching capacity (or a teacher looking to switch)

You will be:

Organised, deeply committed to young people and their wellbeing, able to work at pace and manage complex demands on time, as well as able to lead a team and inspire the best in others.

We are looking for the best person for us and our community so if you think that could be you, please consider applying! Your values, character and experience are the most important thing here, we are open-minded about who our new Deputy DSL will be because we just want the best person for the job - and we will negotiate a fair salary with you based on your qualifications and experience.

It is extremely important that all staff members have high expectations of themselves and the students they work with and share our ethos that every student is valued.  We want staff and students to be the very best that they can be.

To have an informal, confidential discussion and to find out how to apply, please contact Paula Read at Hays Education on 07966403947 or email : paula.read@hays.com

Visits to the school can be organised by contacting Hays Education.

The closing date for all applications is 9.00 am on Monday 11th July 2022

Interviews will be held week commencing 11th July 2022

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.
