An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to try a new role in a vibrant and highly successful Prep School. The role is to cover the maternity leave of our Deputy Head Academic, who plays a key role in the academic management and development of the School and the monitoring and development of academic standards. As a member of the Senior Management Team they will also play a key role in the promotion and marketing of the school to the wider world.
This maternity cover role would suit someone looking for the stepping stone needed to secure a more permanent position, or someone with previous leadership experience who is looking to return to such a role. Ideally, we are looking for someone for five and a half days a week; however, we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:-
- Exhibit dynamism, commitment, energy, professional expertise and experience to qualify them to lead teaching and learning throughout the school
- Be a strong academic
- Be an excellent practitioner who is passionate about encouraging and developing the professional standards of the Staff
- Be an excellent communicator, who promotes the highest standards of communication both within and outside the School
- Promote learning and excellence throughout the School, ensuring high levels of academic achievement particularly in Common Entrance and Senior School Scholarship Examinations
- Be interested in children as individuals, with a real focus on ensuring the best possible outcomes for every child in our care
- Fully understand the commitment required of all staff in this busy school
- Promote the learning, love and excellence of their subjects throughout the School, ensuring high levels of interest and achievement
- Participate fully in the wider life of the school according to his / her talents and interests
- Support school events, performances, and other occasions positively
An attractive salary will be determined in accordance with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Part-time administrative support is available for aspects of this post.
