The Principal and Head are seeking to appoint a Deputy Head Academic of Stamford High School following the retirement of the current post holder.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Leadership Team and, for the right candidate, offering the opportunity to lead and manage aspects of School life across the three Schools. The post requires an inspiring practitioner with a keen interest in the all-round development of young people who is happy as part of a team but willing to take the lead as necessary. The School has a small, but growing, boarding community (about 10% of the girls board as either weekly or full boarders); an interest in, and enthusiasm for, the role of boarding in education is desirable.
Stamford is situated on the edge of Lincolnshire with easy road and rail access to London and within reach of a number of international airports. In 2013 it was declared “the best place to live in Britain” by the Sunday Times and has been described as “the finest stone town in England”. Stamford Endowed Schools are a major employer in the town and being a “great place to work” is part of its ethos.
Candidates wishing to find out more about the post, the school and the area are invited to talk informally to the Head; a mutually convenient time can be arranged by calling 01780 484267/273 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
To apply, download application and monitoring forms and submit the completed forms to email@example.com or visit the School website www.ses.lincs.sch.uk/vacancies
The Stamford Endowed Schools are actively committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
